Function: skin conditioning

A carrier and an emollient oil that has excellent spreadability, lubrication and penetration properties. It is a moisturising oil that is used for its non-greasy after feel.

High in mono-saturated fatty acids, including linoleic and palmitoleic acids (which is similarly composed to the fatty acids in sebum), macadamia oil improves the appearance and texture of skin by improving skin barrier function and reducing transdermal water loss. Enriched with vitamin E and squalene, this ingredient also helps protect from oxidative stress.
