Detox Water - It's Not A Fad

Detox water has become something of a trend in the past year. Our feeds on Instagram and Pinterest are filled to the brim with images of fruit-filled water. However, unlike a lot of the detoxing trends and fads out there, detox water is one that is here to stay.

Drinking these flavoured waters has become the means by which we are able to take in our daily water requirements. As our bodies are made up of approximately 70% water, it is only natural that water is an essential component to the healthy functioning of our bodies. By ensuring that we are getting enough water also ensures good digestion, circulation and metabolism. It is therefore not surprising the wonderful effects drinking an adequate amount of water a day can have on our skin.

Water ensures that essential nutrients are delivered to where they need to be. For skin, the essential nutrients helps to replenish the skin tissue and increases skin elasticity, which can help delay the signs of ageing. Drinking a good amount of water can also help to flush out the toxins within your body. This can be particularly helpful for those who tend to suffer from acne.

The different combinations of ingredients you can add to your daily dose of water can have several benefits; from aiding digestion to anti-inflammatory properties, there is a natural ingredient for just about everything.
