Skincare Travel Hacks

I am about to embark on a three week summer holiday (yay!) to Europe. Whilst packing my bags, it had me thinking about the types of things we may or may not pack in our toiletry bags. Just because you are going on holiday does not mean that you can just let your skin be. Here are some of my skincare travel hacks.

  1. Know the climate - knowing the season you are travelling into will help when deciding what skincare products to take. If you are going into a summer, a lighter moisturiser may be suited to your skin. Whereas if you are going into a winter, perhaps more oil based products are suitable.
  2. Pack your essentials - by essentials, I mean your cleanser, moisturiser and a sunscreen. Perhaps look for multipurpose products as well like oil cleansers so it can double up as a makeup remover, and BB creams so that you get your coverage as well as sun protection.
  3. Travel sized goods - depending on your length of travel, you could find travel (or sample) sized versions of your favourite products. This just makes travelling a little lighter and leaves a little more space for shopping.
  4. Keep some goodies in your carry on - if you are a little like me and want to make the most of your long-haul flight, pack a good hydrating mask and an essence to keep you refreshed. Enbacci's Detoxifying Clay Mask is a great mask to take as it applies on clear, so you aren't scaring anyone on your next flight, and our Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating Essence is a great pick-me-up product. If you are a little more daring and don't mind the double takes and stares, use one of those disposal face-masks during the flight. You can check out our article Long-Haul Skincare Regime for more information.
