Soybean Oil

Function: skin conditioning - emollient, surfactant - emulsifying

Containing a host of vitamins, including vitamins B, E and K, soybean oil prevents dehydration of the skin by replenishing moisture and restoring normal lipid function, particularly in mature and compromised skin types.

Unsaponified (not in soap), soybean oil stimulates the synthesis of collagen, elastin, proteoglycans and structural glycoproteins. Due to it's small molecular structure, it is believed to act more as a hormone-like cellular messenger once it reaches the epidermal keratinocytes and dermal fibroblast.
